Valley Spokesmen weekly club ride on Tuesday evenings. The evenings are getting longer and we were almost able to finish without needing to use our lights.
Sierra Club Hike led by Wilma Austern on the southern portion of the Skyline National Trail from Proctor Gate to Bort Meadow. 6.7 miles, 1100' of climb.

This is the regular Tuesday Night loop ride at Lake Chabot with the Valley Spokesmen Cycling Club. Temperatures are getting cooler especially when you drop down to the lake level. Brandon Trail is a wide fire
road for the most part. Weekday wasn\\\'t busy, but weekends would be
full of fast moving mountain bikes; not pleasant. East and West Shore
trail is paved asphalt elevated a distance above the lake. Not
recommended - take the Columbine Trail on the North Shore of the lake
instead - much prettier.
Walk round Lake Chabot in Castro Valley. Three mile trip round paved section of trail along East side of lake.
Wilma lead the Wednesday hiking group on wonderful hike through Anthony Chabot Regional Park, with stunning views of Lake Chabot and the Bay Area. The hike covered the Jackson Grade, Brandon, Cottontail, Redtail, Towhee, Columbine and Goldenrod Trails, with a lunch stop at Honker Bay overlooking Lake Chabot.
