through the Almaden Quicksilver Park today. It was foggy when we started but cleared
up later, we started at 8.30am and finished it at 11am.

Almaden Quicksilver County Park is nice place to go for a short, non-technical mountain bike ride. Wide fire access roads without much rocks or gravel make the riding pretty easy. The loop that I like starts with a steady uphill climb to the ridge top. The climb is followed by a fun downhill ride to the reservoir and then finishes off with a mixed up and down section. This is a moderate hike with a constant climb from the reservoir to the start of the Providencia Trail, and then a steeper section where the trail joins up with the Mine Hill Trail. The Providencia Trail does not allow bicycles, so it's a quiet trail with some good views of Mt.
