The Air Line Rail Trail follows the railbed of the New Haven, Middletown & Willimantic, later the Boston & New York Air Line Railroad.The portion shown is the southern part of the Air Line South State Park Trail.Various web sites and signage along the trail use both Air Line and Airline.
