Sep and Sam met up for some backcountry turns.  Sep was on AT skis and Sam on his splitboard.  Sep and I set off to climb Chico Peak - had bad beta - and ended up climbing an unnamed peak across the gulch from Emigrant. Due to waiting for some people who were supposed to join us we didn't leave Bozeman 'til 7:4am.We arrived at the trailhead, booted for the first 1/4 or 1/2 mile at...

Hiked Hell Roaring creek trail down to the suspension bridge which crosses the Yellowstone River. This hike was great at the start because it's all down hill. Coming back is the tough part. The bridge is well worth seeing. Its amazing!

Only mistake was coming down Arch Creek, we should have been on the West side. The East side gets pretty steep and we had to search...

During my childhood in Minnesota my brother and I certainly did our share of exploring but no hills were high enough to be called summits. I claimed a half or full dozen of peaks within the boundary of Glacier and then in...
