The best views in the Blue Mountains, and possibly in Australia can be had from this brilliant ride. Start from the locked gate on Glenraphael Drive, Katoomba. Return along the same track.

First time that I have ridden here. Got a little lost at one stage and had to bushbash carrying the bike over some pretty rough terrain. Found our way onto the highway then back to the car so we could start again. Spoke to a couple of local riders who explained where to ride. Fire trail and single track some quite technical. Loads more trails and tracks to explore there ;-)
It's been a while since the old crew mustered - Trusty Rusty, Kranky Ashton, The Prof, Pink Panda, Father of the Bride, Greyskull, Pete the Breeder, Windy Bank Bates and The Big Yellow Taxi. Miss anyone?Headed over da west side to Kingswood Road, prayed The Riders' Prayer and rolled into the Croston Crevass...So let's get down to the guts of things. The big Yellow Taxi went aerial. Full dot-over-apex, Olympic springboard, Nadia...

A great ride with Hajni. We parked the car at the old derelict Queen Victoria Hospital (which is meant to be well haunted). From there we continued along the fire trail. You'll pass the Ingar and Andersons fire trail to the left. Anderson's fire trail takes you to Woodfood where you can join up with the Oakes Fire trail which goes all the way down to Glenbrook. Some good downhill and uphill both...
A short ride with Hajni and Barnabas. It was a cold morning, road was icy and the wind chill factor was only just bearable. Still no pics of the beautiful views from Mt Blackheath as the valley below was swathed in clouds. Next time then. :-)
First time I've done this ride. A great track with a little bit of everything. Firetrails, mad downhill, single tracks, great views. Not to mention Grant who managed NOT to get us lost..... or that I took a stack for the team (again) lol
Steep bike ride or bushwalk rewarded with spectacular views and amazing rock cravings.
Single track to Cox's road Downhill Track
Hartley Vale, New South Wales, Australia
Mountain biking | 12.1 miles
Mountain biking | 12.1 miles
Started at the Lawson's Long Alley carpark, then rode upto the Lockyers Line of road to some single track all the way up to Mt York. We then rode down to Hartley Vale via the Cox's Downhill track. This was quite technical and steep in parts.. After a stop at the historic Commit Inn we head back on the road then onto Bourghoffers trail.
Probably the toughest "ride" I've ever done, but well worth it. It's a huge climb to the upper track, a recently cleared single trail that has some of the best looking Australian bush sceney I've ever seen. It's very tough going on a mountain bike though with lots of rocky climbs and fallen logs, with much pushing, carrying and lifting. The rocky outcrop at the top is sensational, along with the creek crossings...
A satisfying ride, even in the rain. Top downhill run back to town, reaching 71 kph, would have been faster if the road was dry.
Red Shed Track - Kangaroo Valley
Kangaroo Valley, New South Wales, Australia
Mountain biking | 1.9 miles
Mountain biking | 1.9 miles
An stunning short track in the valley amongst the squiggly gums and wombat holes. A very clever use of a small space, turning back on itself many times but always new. Well worth a few laps!
Sydney to Melbourne Bike Ride
Sydney - Melbourne, New South Wales, Australia
Mountain biking | 625 miles
Mountain biking | 625 miles
Our electric bike ride From Sydney, down the south coast of NSW, over the Snowy Mts to Castlemaine, Victoria
About 6 kms west of the highway south of Mogo. Track head has parking and maps. The course is reasonably well marked, except for a couple of key junctions where it's easy to get it wrong. First half has some serious up hills, but the down hills are great!
This was a great easy ride out to Faulconbridge Point. Had heard about it loads but had never done it before. It's just over 13km's all up and the views at the end were truly spectacular. A great spot. Thanks for the invite Kylie, it was great! :)
Crossing Macdonald River by Webbs Creek Ferry then ride in to Womerah Range Trail, after 12km, reached 3 way point, take Jacks Gully Track, steep downhill, and hit the Upper Macdonald Road, heading to Settlers Arms Inn, enjoyed Cold Beer...
Not sure why these rides didn't download seperately......Rode the M7 Saturday for training in a charity ride in October. Had company so the ride wasn't as boring as usual. Next day rode Meryla Pass with the South Coast mob. Started at Fitzroy Falls and rode down through beautiful rainforest, explored the remains of a historical farmhouse......there was the obligatory flat tyre, the obligatory stack and the obligatory recovery stop at the Kangaroo Valley...
This was a great adventure ride/4WD trip. We travelled along the Newnes Plateau onto Blackfellars hand track until we got to the Maiyingu Marragu Aboriginal site. This is a very significant site and there was certainly a very special feel to it. There were amazing hand paintings on the cave walls and there was a booklet which explained the significance and importance of the site. Afterwards we rode up a heartbreak hill onto...
A nice easy ride. Beautiful scenery. Stinking hot day. Nice cool off in the river afterwards :)
