Motorcycling | 68 miles
Looking for the perfect loop on the KDX 200. From Breck up Swan River to Georgia Pass, across the ridge, and back down to the Swan River. Unfortunate, I was stymied as you can tell from the track. I ran into a section that I wouldn't even take a tank into. (Found a rental jeep nearby that was severely stuck.)Back out the way I came in, to Breckenridge...

Marikina-Infanta Road Trip (Marcos Highway, Marikina City to Infanta, Que
by noypitrip on Mar 17, 2012

Motorcycling | 158 miles
Safe motorcycle riding is more fun in the Philippines. Road trip at Marcos Highway, Marikina-Infanta Road, from Marikina City, Metro Manila to the municipality of Infanta, Quezon Province. 120 kilometers one way for three hours. I kept on stopping to check the views and take some photos. Took 7:27:58 on the GPS because I forgot to pause the device while roaming the town. The entire stretch is passable; 99 percent complete with...

Motorcycling | 28 miles
This is a great ride from Silverwood Lake to Lake Arrowhead, CA.  Sections of hill climbs, Jeep trails, and some wider single track.  This track is a 30 mile loop that hits some of the harder trails available in the area.  From the staging area to the water treatment plant you can skip the harder trails and ride on basic fire roads.

My annual Fall Splendor ride, this year, took me over California's Sierra Nevada mountain range.  Actually, it's the preferred route for most of my Fall Splendor rides!  :-)Along for the ride were some of my best riding buddies -- good riders all -- and we all enjoyed the beauty, a brisk pace and everyone lived to tell about it.  A successful ride indeed! And I have to admit, as much as I dearly...

This was a 3 day trip to Death Valley with  Roy, Suzana, George and Myself. Motorcycling is a fantasic way to visit this National Park. The roads are great and the views and vistas can't be beat. We had perfect weather with the daytime temps warming up to around 70 degrees and the nights slightly chilly at around the 50 degree mark. A great time was had by one...

Motorcycling | 42 miles
Another great ride on the KDX today, starting just outside the town of Montezuma, just out of Keystone. As you will see from the track, most of the ride was out and back. Parking just outside of Montezuma, the trail quickly gained altitude. Attained my highest altitude on the KDX at one point, as you can see from the stats - 12,900 ft. The wind was blowing about 30 knots...

Motorcycling | 33 miles
September 20, 2008 – Pittsfield State Forest, Pittsfield Massachusetts  It was a perfect day for riding.  Five bikes and three quads heading up to Pittsfield Massachusetts, a quintessential New England town lined with colonial buildings, white picket fences and American flags.  The nostalgia was heavy in our hearts as Mark says, “There’s got to be a Dunkin’ Donuts around here somewhere!”  And the day began… McDonald’s will have to do.  After all, it was...

Atlantic Highlands to Port Jervis

Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, United States
Motorcycling | 309 miles
I rode to Port Jervis this last Sunday to experience the last of the fall color. On the way already it became clear that Atlantic Highlands retains the fall colors later into the season than the rest of New Jersey, heading west and then north the leaves had mostly fallen, but there was enough of a color splash here and there to make up for it... I only stopped at times to snap...
