My summer trip to France. We went everywhere! Mont San Michel, Paris, Lyon, Provence, and saw much, much more

After a day of meetings in Paris, I went for a walk through the heart of the city.I started at the Louvre, walked West to the Place de la Concorde, then I followed the Champs-Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe. I then took the subway to La Tour Eiffel.I walked by Equestrian statue of Jeanne d'Arc, Hotel De Crillon, Obélisque de Louxor, L'église Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, Virgin Megastore (!), UGC Champs-Elysees Movie Theatre, and...
This walk at first follows streets and lanes but the last part is along trails on the cliffs and beaches. The last part has a lot of up and down traverses of the rocky head lands. But the scenery is fantastic, and there are pebbly isolated beaches along the way. I wouldn't want to do this in the hottest months. September was a great time to do it.
Combo of driving and sightseeing along Omaha beach.Visit to the American Cemetery at Colville sur Mer was overwhelming at times. We had spent the morning at The Memorial Museum in Caen so we didn't really have enough time, in retrospect. In the future would allow a full day. Since we are staying in Cancale it was a long late drive home.
Départ de l'Office de Tourisme et des Congrès de Besançon, parc Micaud
Montmartre is a hill (the butte Montmartre) which is 130 meters high, giving its name to the surrounding district, in the north of Paris in the 18th arrondissement, a part of the Right Bank. Montmartre is primarily known for the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré Cœur on its summit and as a nightclub district. The other, older, church on the hill is Saint Pierre de Montmartre, which claims to be the location...

Corsica! The proud lion of Roccapina, lying lazy toward the see. A short but unforgettable hike.Too much wind on that day to enjoy the beach. The lane is barely visible. Just go straight up into the woods (maquis).Walking on the lion spine is wonderfull but dangerous, risk of lethal fall.Climbing on the head is even more dangerous, but just fantastic, exclusively for experimented climbers.
Une superbe randonnée, conçue par Philippe Sabbe, nous faisant découvrir de nombreuses ruines de châteaux dans une forêt 'intense'.
