Mostly driving on the shuttle, with a walk up at the last stop to the narrows.
Every year around this same time we head out to the Simpson Springs Pony Express Monument to get a picture. It is one of my favorite places and I figure the desert doesn't change much but our family does. It is fun to see the yearly progression of my kids and how much we change. I hope this is a tradition that we will always carry on. This year we saw wild...
We have never been over Butterfield Canyon or really anywhere in the Oquirrh Mountains. This trip was much better than I expected. I wasn't loving all the cement barriers with spray paint at the bottom part of the canyon and there are no trespassing signs on every other tree but the fall leaves were amazing and once you get to the top the view is out of this world. I think this might be...

This trip was started in Cannonville, UT and was supposed to be pretty much all backroads to Alstrom Point, but Cottonwood Canyon road was closed south of Kodachrome SP, so I had to take a different route which included some more hwy driving.

==5th day, we woke up at 5:30 am to watch the sunrise from the Monument Valley. We watched it with a cup of coffee. So amazing sunrise!!The main event of this day was to visit the
Antelope Canyon. We planned to join the tour at noon, because the sun light
expose this cave during noon only. So we left the hotel early, and we arrived
at the tour center at around 9 am. But unfortunately...
The first day of our St George trip, the Trail Ridge Runners did the West Rim/ Sand Mountain Trail close to town. Ended up being a full day
TRR Jeep club took a trip to the north rim of the Grand Canyon on its second day in St George, UT. We took the very scenic backroad trip from St George to Toroweap Overlook using theMt Trumbull Road. We exited the overlook via the Sunset Road or trail 109 which intersected Az 389 about 8 miles west of Fredonia. That's the traditional route toToroweap.
On the third day of theTRR Jeep club trip to St George we had a short exploratory trip in and south of Warner Valley. The first two sites were in Arizona.
On our fifth day in St George we decided to have a short day on Milt's Mile. It ended up being a longer day because of some car repairs. Laura's spotting was nothing short of excellence.
On day six of the TRR club trip to St George we took a tour of Zion National Park, the Grafton ghost town where Butch Cassidy was filmed and the first half of the Kolob Terrace road that was opened to the public in winter. Rainy day, but all but about one mile on pavement. Down to four Jeeps. Fun day exploring.
Spent a night in Boulder, UT hoping to do the Burr Trail to Bullfrog. Because of the heavy snow yesterday we only did the first 16-17 miles of the paved section up to where the trail tops out of Long Canyon. Most of the pics are from Long Canyon
We have always loved Moab, but now we are huge fans of Capitol Reef NP
