The Smithers Mountain Bike Association is currently taking over the management of bike trails in three trail networks: The Bluff, Upper Hudson Bay Mountain and Ptarmingan Road. Great fall day for a mtb ride in one of my fav places: Squamish. June's 1st black diamond on Brackentrail. 22km loop in the Alice Lake area. Rusty Bucket, Rob/Cliff's Corners, Roller Coaster, LumberJacks, Brackentrail.
We made it about half way to the Dove Hill lookout on this first attempt with the kids.
Compared with our usual route up the south face of Dove Hill, this route takes you through Northern exposure forests, thick and lush.
We stopped at the first bench, vowing to come back and "make it to the top" next time.
A little bit of afternoon running, with beautiful views.

Day two was also unsettle and didn't provide and opportunity to get into the alpine. We headed over to another treed area - Bavarian and came back and skied down Sweet Stuff. Pow was good today!
