Started tracking at the Legion in Arden...made our way on an amazing trip through a wonderful part of Ontario. I unfortunately forgot to resume tracking at our last rest stop to home....that portion is missing. This ride would be impossible in the summer due to the large amount of ice riding.
After crossing Beaver Lake on the ice, we caught up with the L&A 100 snowmobile trail and rode a ways in. It started to get dark and we all were pretty hungry. We turned around and backtracked home.
Great Ride, weather was perfect, snow only at high elevations.Riders: Chris, Dwayne, Lindy, AlChris and Dwayne took turns leading the ride.NOTE: PRIVATE PROPERTY NOTICEThe first part of the ride that goes directly to Garnet Lake crosses someone personal property. Do NOT use this track. If you want to get to Garnet Lake, use the track that takes you past Dark Lake.Note2:Eneas Lake is still cut off by snow.NOTE3:BLACK DIAMOND TRAIL:The trail at...
Decided to try out the new cottage 3G service with the phone with a trip and photos. Simple little quad ride through the old logging trail to Deerhound lake. :inking the photos to locations is proving more manual that I would like. Next time I'm going to use the everytrail app to lock in the pictures rather than the "trails" app I had used in the past...

A scenic tour on the four wheeler, relaxed pace taking in the sights and sounds. Played a little in the sand dunes and cast a fishin line, a couple small bass and pike, all were returned to grow for another day.
We had so much fun with Back Country Tours we booked a second tour in the same week.
Dudley and Kim of Back Country Tours went out of their way to provide an exciting and safe ATV outing in the rugged and beautiful Haliburton Highlands.
A great weather forecast and a really nice couple of days before this date...it looked promising. A fair bit of frost in the am but most all was pre-loaded the evening before...headed out to Tansky area...WOW HUGE CHANGE...Lots of logging been happening..they say it's a re-newable resourse but that area isn't going to benewed in our lifetimes...kinda sad...only weeks with heavy machinery and many many many years of time falls under us...alas..lots...

Last tour of the day. Just wanted to see where this trail went since there were no signs. The trail has a high center in spots and branches to scrape down the side of your vehicle. Nice little feature some may not like. I don't mind a branch or two but it got pretty narrow on the last half so we turned around in a large open area. Lots of room to...
Very steep initial climb, be aware there are very deep mud holes with no by passes. 4x4 only, not stock friendly. Mud tires 33" or larger suggested.
Tread lightly, STAY ON THE TRAIL!
I hadn't been on an ATV in 3 years. So when Nork said he knew where there was another waterfall and he would take me on his ATV, I jumped at the opportunity! It was a blast!!!
