This scenic trail runs from Alma to Leadville most 4x4 vehicles can make it. This old trail was used long ago by wagons and horseback, be sure to take pics of all the amazing mining relics along the trail. Watch for the narrow shelf road on the Alma Side, it is only wide enough for one vehicle so pay attention to traffic.

The route mapped are based on roughly where we were and joining up the possible route taken. Therefore the route is not accurate. The trip is made together with Northside 4wd. Special thanks to Glen with his help to give me some idea on the route.
First group ride for Florida 4x4. Started in Altoona, ended up around St Francis. Found a ton of water where there's usually only sand. Had a few stockers with us that had trouble with water crossings, but nothing serious. Stopped on the river and had a nice cookout before heading on. Overall a good trip. Blew my driver ball joints, so that's been added to my "fix list"
Scenic approach on paved mountain road. Easy wadi track, using trails of the local people. Picturesque Wadi Ray featuring pool and gorge. Can be done alone, better not on Fridays. Good connection to Hatta pools.
nice and easy track . just stay either route as u go.

Day 2 - Riding in the Moab area, The Needles and Chicken Corners. We started with breakfast at the Moab Diner, then a local ride and returned to the Best Western for the night.Senor Rich had some work to do on his bike and decided he didn't like our brand of torture so he ventured off for the day on his own.
On previous trips to the Five Bar Ranch, I have come in from the north which required that I wade the Owyhee River to reach the ranch buildings. This trip was an attempt to reach the ranch from the south without getting wet. Due to the remoteness of the area, the lack of roads, and the long distances, this trip was an overnight camping trip. We left Highway 95 at Rome, OR...
