Start off in the historic district neighborhood and end up going on the I-35 feeder
Trail located near San Marcos Texas off of FM Road 12 and Hunter Rd. Small pavilion at the entrance with a map. There were no maps or brochures at the time we went. Nice mixture of rocky and dirt trails. There are some trail poles. Also, colored markers are nailed to the trees as guides. There is very limited parking, so get there early. No bathroom facilities.
