This was a fun, easy spot for beginner XC skiers. The trails were all groomed, the crowds mostly manageable, and the weather fantastic!

Eight skied Bennett Pass in winter conditions. Fresh snow over a firm but not icy base. Off skis you sank above the knee. Light snow most of the day with wind gusts in exposed areas. Temperature around 28 degrees. Some had ski icing problems with their skis at times. Waxing mattered. GPS track showed 5.72 miles and 1150 feet of elevation gain & loss. It dumped the night and morning before we went up there and it was great.

Battery ran down on GPS so it didn't make it.
We went to Edison Butte. It was icey the whole way, I crashed about 400 times. It is a beautiful place, the snow conditions were better it would have been perfect.
