Well the morning start out great. Excellent weather for August. Low 70s when we started. Then only a 1-1/2 miles in the back group missed a turn and ended up at the Lodge...whoops...so we back tracked to find the turn we had missed and ended up doing an extra 1-1/2 miles. After that everything went pretty good.

Afternoon heated up some, but still very only low 80s which is very cool for August around here.Everything on the afternoon run went very well as there are very few places you can miss a turn and the trail is really well marked. They have even installed a small wooden bridge in one area where a run off had eroded into a deep cut. Some downed trees from a spring storm, but...
