Trips
A lovely family walk in the Southern Brecon Beacons to view the spectacular Sgwd Clun Gwyn and Sgwd yr Eira Waterfalls. Initially thought it would be a simple path - but soon found out that the path was very difficult in places, and alot of up and downs to be tackled.
Fantastic walk up the Miners Path, up onto Snowdon where we were greeted with the Extreme Celloists and a rendition of "Climb Every Mountain!" Return route the wrong way along Crib Goch - hairy!
Alison and I had a nice little walk with very varied weather! Sunny, Overcast, horizotal hail (ouch), snow.... and repeat :)
I nice circular of the main peaks in the Brecons:Corn DuPen Y FanCribynFan Y BigHad a good day for it - sunny, but a bit windy on the ridges.Easy day trip from the South or Midlands.
I'm Wales for two days on a training course to learn more about, and try out, the latest ideas in mountain clothing, courtesy of George Fisher, Mountain Equipment and Gortex Ltd.Today we drive over from Plas y Brenin to the Ogwen Valley and enjoy a walk around Cwm Idwal starting with the summit of Y Garn.Full story can be found at http://www.loweswatercam.co.uk/091102_Plas_y_Brenin_1.htm
A stunning, late springtime hike through the famous waterfall-studded forests and gorges of the Mellte, Hepste and Neath rivers in the southern foothills of the Brecon Beacons. This is the best time in Fforest Fawr as spring greenery and flowers bloom, while the waterfalls remain at full spate – photographers’ and outdoor-lovers’ paradise. At various points along the walk the path actually goes behind, underneath and through the waterfalls themselves! Thanks to Simon...
A circular walk going up to Moel Fammau at 1818ft (554m) with the remains of the Jubilee Tower built to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of George III in 1810.Return via Llwybry Leete path and Loggerheads Country Park.
An excellent circular walk around Caerphilly mountain and the surrounding countryside. The walk is great all year round but the panoramic views really benefit from a clear day.
A lengthy walk in the Brecons, on a warm day. Great views all around from start to finish.
This walk was part of our 2008 holiday in Wales. We arrived at the parking place in the afternoon and spent approximately two hours in the walk. The beach was windy and misty - which is really amazing.

Really nice day - and one where the photos actually turned out as good as the real thing. Only pain was the collection of wood for the fire - fell over while clambering over slimey rocks. Then went further along. Next time we avoid a shortcut and just slog up the hill :D
Day two of our Mountain course at Plat y Brenin and we are joined by an experienced mountain guide and tackle a climb up the front of Tryfan, and Glyder Fach via the classic Bristly Ridge
This is a lovely quiet horseshoe walk taking in part of the Offa's Dyke path and part of the Beacons Way. Walk to Llanthony on one side of the valley and return on the other side. Stunning views.
Walking in Greenmeadow woods, looking at the 350 million year old Conglomerate Quartz stones which are of interest to local historians and Geologists .
A short walk in the Brecons in preperation for BMW's mountain Challenge. This was Trevors first proper walk, so we chose Pen Y Fan and Corn Du as a quick walk with great views. The weather varied from sunny to very cold and windy!Plus near the top of Corn Du there was a crash plane! Not a typical sight when mountain walking!
Wallog - Ceredigion (near Aberystwyth and Borth) - A great place to stop between Pembrokeshire and Snowdon - On the Wales Coastal Path

Wallog - Ceredigion This is a small walk to Wallog beach, you can park up and walk down to the beach, but you can't drive directly to it. Me, C and Sniff, picked some wild garlic and headed home. One of the most secluded beaches in the area - look out for the sarn (Sarn Cynfelyn), a shingle causeway that goes out 7 miles into the sea (you can see it very...
