Doug, Gerard, Jon, Mike and myself. Very nice hike on upper Loughrigg, with views of Grasmere and Rydal Water. A hydration stop at the Thirsty Badger, and onto the cottages of Wordsworth. A hearty evening meal at the Wateredge Inn and a nights rest at the local YHA.

This is a lovely short walk from Ambleside up Loughrigg Fell which will reward you with some amazing views of Windermere and the surrounding fells . It is only about 4 miles from our lodges at http://www.lakedistrictholidaylodges.co.uk/
The walk starts from Ambleside, the nice little car park along the rushing river. £7.00 to park for 10 hours which is plenty for this trip.
