Nice famely walk parked car at (NY 41220 02697) just off the A592 near Troutbeck church. walk through Troutbeck village and turn Left at ( NY 40986 03362) on to Nanny Lane continue to (NY 40258 04075) turn Left up to the summit Wansfell (1543ft). Through Ambleside to Jenkins Crag through woods to Robin Lane then back to car.
We camped at the National Trust campsite in Great Langdale.Saturday was a bit rainy so we caught the bus to Ambleside and walked back via Grasmere and Tarn Crag (Easedale) - not many photos!Sunday was a fantastic day, especially over Crinkle Crags.
The classic Horseshoe walk from Ambleside - we walked in an anti-clockwise direction starting at Low Pike and finishing at Nab Scar. It was probably the windiest conditions that I have ever walked in; it was a real struggle to stand up between Great Rigg and Heron Pike. After walk refreshments at the Badger Bar near Pelter Bridge.
