Made the most of an amazing spell of Spring weather and hit the trail. Starting just after 9:00am in perfect running conditions we set off from The Ferry Bridge Hotel on the Weymouth end of the causeway and begin navigating our way around the mystical Fleet Lagoon. With no heavy rain in over ten days the lagoon actually looked quite inviting for a swim but resisting temptation we pressed on to Abbotsbury....

An awesome outing, mainly on trails but with a little coasteering thrown in for good measure.  Kerry dropped me at the start, had a morning of sight seeing, then met me for hot chips at the famous Sligichan Hotel.  Beautiful!

Originally planned for Losely park but actually run by Hawley lake. A great spot, stacks of mushrooms if you like that sort of thing. The extra bit at the end of the route is me wandering around dazed and then ending in the portaloo. I keep forgetting to press stop on the darn gps.

A nice run on local footpaths and lanes, no tarmac except crossing the road to Henfield Common and a short tarmaced lane on the western side of the run. About a half marathon with a good few hills, 5000ft up and down, fantastic views from the Adur brooks as usual. Lots of mud on the western section when its wet, i.e. most of the time. Please Note: If your wondering about the...
