Well aside of the fact that some funny guy playing frisbee golf hit me in the arm with the frisbee the ride is great. Its a huge network of short runs that interconnect in multiple places. there are some great fast downhill areas, great jumps, and hardpack singletrack. just beware of leaves covering roots and rocks. Definitely a fun ride just watch for frisbees.

First time at Walnut Creek (The Nut). I loved this trail, more of what I'm used to. Extremely fast, twisty, yet still has the technical sections that keep it challenging. I missed a lot of the trails on this first lap, hit 4 miles out of 13. there are a lot of hidden sections out there, it will take me a while to find them all and tie them together... Its like...more

Very nice place. I hear it's even prettier in the fall when the leaves change. Full of hills valleys canyons, and small natural springs. Water in the creeks and river was very low, but thanks to many springs they weren't dry. The views are great and the winds on the hill top are life savers in summer. Wild life is all around and it's not to crowded. I went with my...more

This is a little place close to where I live. A good spot for bird watchers. It used to be the old highway from Portland to Corpus Christi back in the old day. Now the land around it is owned by the city and they have blocked it off to motor vehicles. It is considered wetlands and full of wildlife. Birds of all kinds, snakes, raccoons, foxes, feral cats ect... There are several...more

This was a weekend trip / two days one night. Very peaceful. I saw one person when I first got there and he was leaving. I saw two others the later that day and that was it. This is a great place to get away from it all. The area has a variety of land scape's. You can't really tell in the photos. I forgot my camera back at camp when I hiked...more

I did this trip before but there's an under-bridge dark portion of the walk where the GPS cut out. Today, I did this walk all above ground and ventured off trail for a bit of it so that I can make a full GPS trip.I started at the stinky Bat Colony at Waugh, walked  down Allen Parkway, got to Sabine, passed the Skate Park and passed this thing that looks like a...more

Drove from the State Park to a spot on the beach and checked it out there. Nice place, though I bet it gets way crowded in the summer.

Had a half day at work, figured what the hell.It was already in the 90's, but I filled up the camelback and went on with it.Pretty standard trip, except hot.  It hasn't rained significantly in months, so there was no creek to cross, plus it was hot and on a tuesday to the trail was relatively empty.

This is an unlisted hike with some interesting historical buildings half way through. Tucked away behind Twin Creeks Country Club subdivision and Golf Course. This hike has picnic benches, a relaxing babbling creek, and easy terrain. You can enter at one of two locations:* Foot access at Zennor Court at the North. This is the most complex  terrain before you reach a paved trail. Don't plan on taking anything on wheel through this...more
