First time at Walnut Creek (The Nut). I loved this trail, more of what I'm used to. Extremely fast, twisty, yet still has the technical sections that keep it challenging. This is a little place close to where I live. A good spot for bird watchers. It used to be the old highway from Portland to Corpus Christi back in the old day. We took a couple of hours and walked the fence line of our ranch.

Had a half day at work, figured what the hell.It was already in the 90's, but I filled up the camelback and went on with it.Pretty standard trip, except hot.  It hasn't rained significantly in months, so there was no creek to cross, plus it was hot and on a tuesday to the trail was relatively empty.

This is an unlisted hike with some interesting historical buildings half way through. Tucked away behind Twin Creeks Country Club subdivision and Golf Course. This hike has picnic benches, a relaxing babbling creek, and easy terrain.You can enter at one of two locations:* Foot access at Zennor Court at the North.
