This walk was part of our 2008 holiday in Wales. We arrived at the parking place in the afternoon and spent approximately two hours in the walk. The beach was windy and misty - which is really amazing.

A lovely family walk in the Southern Brecon Beacons to view the spectacular Sgwd Clun Gwyn and Sgwd yr Eira Waterfalls. Initially thought it would be a simple path - but soon found out that the path was very difficult in places, and alot of up and downs to be tackled.

This is a lovely quiet horseshoe walk taking in part of the Offa's Dyke path and part of the Beacons Way. Walk to Llanthony on one side of the valley and return on the other side. Stunning views.

My self and a freind cycled from Dolgellau, using NCN8 to Ryhd, then branched off and cycled round snowdon down the Llamberis pass to Caernarfon. A couple of beers and a curry and we followed NCN8 back to Dolgellau the next day, taking the beach option (must be lowish tide!) to Barmouth and back to our base at Artog.

Excellent route that combines the best of man made trails and the stuff mother nature has carved. For the most part the route follows the black route (dont be put off as this is a soft grading by most trail centre standerds) , but breaks for a short excursion across the moors. The moors section is excellent with a steep peaty climb to start to the radio mast. Once their it is a fast ruted singletrack...more

A little frequented part of the Brecon Beacons National Park, great for escaping from the crowds who flock to the highest summits. Cwm-du is a great little valley with almost Scottish Glen qualities. The ascent up the left hand fork of the Nant Cwm-du can make for entertaining progress. Large patches of snow made following the path tricky at times, so the GPS track may not match the path on the ground....more
