The Frienisbergwald is a beautiful forest located about 15km north from Bern. This forest is still criss-crossed by the medieval roads first laid out by the monks of the Cistercian monastery of near-by Frienisberg in the Middle Ages. Just after Säriswil one can walk along the old Mülibach ("Mill's Creek") on the way towards Wohlen.

I keep going back to the beautiful Frienisbergwald, its ancient medieval paths, and its quiet. The Frieswilgrabe, down towards the Wohlensee, is also extremely nice.
