A very pleasant short hike up to the Fritzeflue (929m) and the Hornbachegg (1011m).
It was scorching hot today (32 C) and the climb up was accordingly slow. But it was well worth the sweat. The view over the Alps, the Jura and the Schrattenflue was perfect and crisp.
An extremely plesant hike, crossing the Dürsrütiwald, an old forest once renowned for its very old trees; sadly, the tallest specimens were ripped to the ground by the Lothar storm in December 1998.
