Thought we could squeeze in one more weekend of backcountry skiing, but found that it was spring in the mountains already! We now know why all of the huts are closed for most of May and June. We spent four days and three nights touring/hiking in the mountains, with not much skiing.
Susan, Jasper, and CJ spent 8 days skiing about 135km in one of the wildest parts of Europe: Sarek National Park, north of the arctic circle in Sweden. It was a challenging trip, with temperatures never breaking freezing and a few mornings and evenings below -16C. But we loved it. I think all of us would go back tomorrow for more if we could.
This is the first time out on XC Ski's hence the time taken. Then again we also did stop to take in the scenery. Outstanding and great fun!

Skitouring Kebnekise and Toulpagorni in one looong day. If you're used to ropes and crampons I would rate it as easy/moderate but I want to avoid misleading people.
