Trips
we decided to explore trails we've never been on before for the new year, and found 3! this is one of them... it's pretty rooty for the most part, but it's got some nice downslopes and uphills (overlaid with roots). it's a pretty good distance too, and scenic coz it follows the reservoir's perimeter.
We have been holding back to ride ever since we got back from our Holiday.B.T trail really worth it! Love this trail. Definitely will be back next week.
1st time going off road in Pulau Ubin. The island was swarmed with people! I guess it's because of the Public Holiday today. For seafood lovers, good wide varieties of them to choose. The track was fun to ride even for experienced riders. Look out for the "double Black Mountain" trail which is the toughest! Had a "taste" of it, must complete it the next trip! :)
Mi ass does hurt! Ouch!! Good big group of cyclists apart from started our ride at 0615hrs.
We decided to celebrate New Year 2011 with an offroad trail at Bukit Timah. Some parts of the route is quite challenging with steep downhill and uphill. Total distance about 15km. It was a great fun indeed...

our 1st day cycling after picking up my Cannondale F3, was tiring but was good!
bedok -> east coast -> changi airport -> changi beach -> tampines -> bedok
Started from Bedok then to East Coast hawker center meet up with Lai & Jackie then to Changi Village. Had breakfast there then headed to Cannasia at Frankel Ave and back home. My left knee was really sore. No pain no gain I suppose. Overall, nice slow ride on my bday. :)
best seats in the house: still don't believe i was almost by myself.... just another photographer and a nice malay family.... pictures up on Flickr soon.phone switched of, due to low power... that's why only part of the trip was recorded... was using the EveryTrail app on my iphone this time.
easy riding nite leg 1. The sunset was really beautiful!
Mtb with some regular gang
A Nice little technical Downhill ride at the infamous Hill known as 265.
Colinpat has already uploaded a Pulau Ubin trail but this one is slightly different. It runs the full round of the Ketam MTB trail (Single diamond) and a few more trail on the eastern side of the island. For those into caching, you can complete 4 caches on this round. Please don't take any notice of the travel times, we were a big group and one of the riders was exhausted so we made...
This is a nice round in the east of Singapore that uses predominately Park Connectors and quit back streets. There are around 8 Geocaches right on this trail so if you want to combine biking and caching then this is a good one.Terrain is mostly road, a little bit of gravel around Bedok reservoir. There are a few good food places on the way so you won't be starving and can always replenish...
Rent a bike and see the island.
Took after just after noon to take the East Coast Park trail as far as i could. Wound up at the Bistro@Changi where we had dinner with Beth and Ernie some months back.Good grilled salmon for lunch and great spot for a half way rest, watching the kayaks, container ships and planes landing every 2 minutes. Recorded the return trip, a little more leisurely pace than the outgoing leg :)Not so many...
This is a fairly easy trip from Bedok on the Bedok and East Coast Park Connectors into the reclaimed land area east of the airport. It takes gravel forest roads once off the PCN.The Singapore Aviation Exhibition halls are at the far end of the trail and you may not be able to enter through the gate as it may be closed. This will only cut around 500m off the overall trip....
Saw the Western Park Connector Network and decided to give it a go. Was suppose to go early morning but woke up late. Decided to go anyway.Good 20 km route, mostly path with a section of gravel at Zheng Hua Park near Dairy Farm. Nice workout for a Saturday morning! My apologies for the non-geotagged photos. I took photos using the Everytrail for iPhone app and it geo-tagged them in the app but...
