Drummond Hill Fire Road Bike Route, Highland Perthshire

Kenmore, Perthshire, Scotland
Mountain biking | 7.5 miles
Mountain biking | 7.5 miles
Any visit to Kenmore is worthwhile so this late winter trip was even better with a bike ride too! If you look at the profile then you'll see that this route has a steep climb in the first mile or two followed by a steady descent and a flat return along the River Tay to The Courtyard for coffee and cakes. The long, steep climb at the beginning really makes it unsuitable for...
Mooie tocht in zeer desolaat gebied.
Headed for the Glencoe Ski area today, unfortunately they closed it at the last minute due to high winds 75mph.Just as well i put the hiking gear in the car.Parked at the first car park and headed up the first section of the Aonach Eagachhigh winds and late start so didn't get all the way along the ridge.Still a good day out .
A walk down the Eastern side of Loch Slapin to find the abandoned villages of Suisnish and Boreraig
We took a quick trip across to Cumbrae and enjoyed an hour or so of skipping rocks and looking at funny bugs under them on a beach near the ferry landing.
Maiden voyage of my new P&H Delphin play sea kayak.Cold start 1 degrees warming up to +7 sunny skies light winds.Surfed a few small waves then around the point to the harbour, rockhopped on way back on the swells. Enjoy.....
A quick dash to the campsite, and then out for a walk. the road walk round to Catacol took a while and the weather was just holding-out. Then it was up the glen. We bailed out of the original walk which would have seen us go over Meall Mor, instead passing across some moorland tussocky (and tiring) ground with Creagan nan Caorach on our left as the light began to become poor....
