Did some recce work on offroad trail opposite kampung sungei melayu...about 10km offroad in palm oil plantation, another 15km on-road back to horizon hill...
Quite a distance from Malacca town but worth the drive. Ride distance is only 11 km with initial climb the first half. Awesome downhill after that and it flat road ride back to the start point where are our cars are parked.
Good ride organised by Batu Pahat's hash members, Nature Bikers Club. Started on road for 7+km and then the fun begins. Quite a number of stream crossings which takes some effort pushing the bike up the banks. The 2 points where you see the trail leads to nowhere are false trail. Spent a weekend across the Causeway from Singapore. We stayed at Mayres hotel (~100 RM, basic but clean and safe) at Kota Tinggi and did our first ride just from the hotel. The tail starts in town and tries to avoid the main roads. We hit a dead end initially but then got onto a few good plantation tracks.
