du plus haut sommet des Pyrénées Orientales par sa face Est, en
traversant une succession de plateaux où se nichent une multitude
d'étangs (estanys en catalan) est une randonnée d'une beauté
exceptionnelle.
Abritant une flore riche d'espèces rares, la Vallée d'Eyne constitue une réserve naturelle depuis 1993.
Elle aboutit au Col d'Eyne (ou de Nuria 2683m) d'où il est aisé d'accéder au Pic d'Eyne (2783m).

This walk at first follows streets and lanes but the last part is along trails on the cliffs and beaches. The last part has a lot of up and down traverses of the rocky head lands. But the scenery is fantastic, and there are pebbly isolated beaches along the way. I wouldn't want to do this in the hottest months. September was a great time to do it.

Just go straight up into the woods (maquis).Walking on the lion spine is wonderfull but dangerous, risk of lethal fall.Climbing on the head is even more dangerous, but just fantastic, exclusively for experimented climbers.
