Trips
The four of us biked from O'Brien to Lac Phillipe. Lots of blown down trees from the storm not long ago. A crisp day perfect for mountain biking.
A very interesting outing. By late March the winter season is usually coming to a close around Ottawa. Here we are - March the 19th and there is next to no show left on the ground at the trailhead (elevation ~ 400 ft). The situation changes rapidly. After some slips, slides and spills - we all transfer to snowshoes. At the highest point of this hike (~1200 ft.) the snow is...
Fall trip on a path las travelled.
We skied from P7but I didn't log data until Shilly Shally.

We biked from P7 to Western cabin with two boys. I was very impressed by the youngsters. Trip was very enjoyable except that the route was really busy with hikers. Had to really slow down often in order not to annoy these people.

A beautiful walk in nature on a gorgeous Saturday. We stopped at the lookout for lunch.
Several Toastmaster workshops were held at the Cegep de l'Outaouais (a local College). I was happy to discover that the Gatineau Park could be accessed right from the school's parking lot.Freezing rain was coming down when I set out. Luckily I had put a good layer of red wax on the night before -- the skis were running quite well.I took the forest path up towards Pink Lake. This being my first...
Of all the hikes that I have done in Gatineau Park this is one of the most scenic, especially in December when the landscape is very visible after the leaves have long fallen. On the day of this hike, a light snow fall the previous evening added to the pristine beauty that nature offered us.The hike started off at parking lot P9 (off of Dunlop Road) and headed along the Gatineau...
Tulay up for Wine & Food festival. Hike in the Gatinea at MacKenzie King estate. Wonderful day.....
This is a beautiful looped trail north of Meech Lake, starting off from the parking lot for O'Brien Beach. I did this trail in the heart of the autumn season - when the leaves were falling and the scenery offered by the region is quite appealing. Gatineau Park is extremely well visited during October, but once you get a couple of minutes away from the parking lot - you, by and...
