In May 2012, me, Angelina, Robert and Janet went on a snowmobile thripduring the weekend. We went to North Maguse, about 85 miles north of Arviat. We participated in a trout fishing derby. Along the way, we saw James and Betty Kigusiutnak, Louis Irkok and family, and Paul K Irksuk and family. We also slept in a tent with Jack Irkok and family at Quagyuit.
Paul K Irksuk and I went on a hunting trip this spring for caribou.It took us about four hours to get from Arviat to where we saw some caribou. We skinned and made tea on the spot. The spring weather was very nice, calm, sunny and very warm. There was hardly any snow for snowmobiling, so we had to maneuver between eskers and lakes.We each got four caribou each.
