Deze eerste clubtocht van de DAMmers ging van start in Vossenhol nabij Maldegem. Deel a van de route is het eerste deel van de 36 km VTT tocht tot aan de bevoorrading vlak voor de aanloop naar Oedelemberg.
Via AZ Sint-Lucas naar spoorwegbedding, door bomenwijk Olmenstraat en Abelestraat en langs Egelantierenstraat, Legeweg en kanaal Gent-Brugge tot in Moerbrugge, Gevaertstraat, Patersonstraat, terug via het natuurgebied Vallei van de Zuidleie met de Warandeputten (buizerd gespot).Terug via de Westdijk langs het kanaal Gent-Brugge (andere oever) tot Steenbrugge, brug over en verder langs kanaal tot aan den Tir, afslaan door de Schijfstraat naar vertrekpunt Kluppelmeers.
Nabij AZ Sint-Lucas de oude spoorwegbedding volgen, daarna de gemene weiden in richting Ver-Assebroek. Verder een stukje oude trambedding door de Assebroekse Meersen (nat!), linksaf tot de Bruggestraat, oversteken en verder door de Gemene Weiden langs Ryckevelde en de Lorreinendreef terug naar de Oude Spoorwegbedding. Achter het Kasteel Bergskes via de Olmendreef en de Zandberg naar de kinderboerderij Zeventorentjes.
