Overall a fantastic place to ride cross-country. Essentially it is a huge palm oil estate. We do not know why, but the place is totally devoid of mosquitoes!!! Yeah!More information at http://wildgeeks.org

15 Nov 2009. 470 Riders, 3 stages, plenty of singletrack, one creek crossing, lots of mossies, mud and fun.We only did two of the stages due to the time limit on stage 3 - the full circuit is about 54 km. Maybe some other rider can post the log of the third stage.Do it. Take your GPS, lots of trails, don't get lost. TAKE LOTS OF HIGH PERFORMANCE MOSSIE SPAY.
It's not a new trail. I last rode it 8 years ago. But I decided to map it anyway. Definitely a tougher option for those who would like to do a half Pg Hill ride than the last one I did on the same trail. But you get a more scenic view and longer downhill ride on the farmer trail...:)
The wildgeeks comprising of George, Sean, Jack, Ken Wei and Joe returned to Rubber Research Institute (RRI) for another hash using a different route. This time, we played with some ramps created by fellow MTB riders and played along a technical single track trail downhill. Thereafter, we went back up and did one of the longest downhill we have ever done.
Overall good and memorable trip. Will return for more.

done it alone, very good trip for newbies. nice view overlooking penang airport, bayan lepas and jerejak strait, and 2nd bridge
Last Saturday, we went on an easy and relaxing ride from FRIM to the nurseries in Sungai Buloh. We found out that if you enter the trails from FRIM, you have to pay a buck per person. But if you enter FRIM from Sungai Buloh, you save that buck. Heck, I think we will all pay... I am not going to drive all the way to Sungai Buloh just to avoid paying...
Visited the trail again to find out if there's any trail that I have not visited. Well, took some pictures of the potential trail head. Will check it out next time.
New exploration at Bukit Lagong ride with 3 friends of mine. The ride started with 1.5km tarmac heading towards the trail. Nice screnery pass through some kampung orang asli , waterfall. The trail a lot of uphill so we decided to push our bike up all the way. Of course will get a lot of rewards after reached to the point where mostly downhill. Theres a junction turning head towards FRIM trail we...
At great 37KM ride through beautiful Palm Estate and Kampung Orang Asli !Connecting Puchong Tasik Prima area to Jenjarom town. It started with a horrible news. Drizzles !!! Seemed like we were not ableto ride. With the persistent mind set, we decide to get to the starting pointanyway. It turns out we have a chance to ride, but with the risk of heavydown pour since the sky were kinda gloomy. What the heck,...
I decided to visit the Blue House again but in reverse direction. The climb was not as tough as I thought. Also, thanks to one fellow rider, who we met at blue house, we found new trails and totally enjoyed it!

Nice scenery, steep but short up hill & mostly rideable. moderate difficulty and take extra caution when go downhill. overall is an interesting place to ride.
A short and satisfying ride up to the orang Asli village in Asahan. Steep climb initially but you will be rewarded with the fast downhill. Lots of single tracks that lead to nowhere.

Basically a nice non-technical Oil Palm Estate trail with minor climbs and nice long downhills!
There are several natural jump points that can be improved. But since this is a private estate, not a good idea to start modifying.
Very strange, there were hardly any mosquitoes! LOL.
I have not visited this trail for some time. When Maverick asked me if I wanted to join his group last week, I decided to join them. It is always one of the best trails in the Northern region of Malaysia. It is a trail for everyone. You want climbs? They have. Technical downhill? No problem. XC? Yup. Highly recommended for all...

This is the Wildgeeks first trip to Bukit Cermin. Recommended by a bike shop owner, we decided to explore the trails there.
The Bukit Cermin trails are along palm oil/rubber estate roads and some single track downhills.
Mosquito repellent is a MUST here! These mozzies attack in swarms!!!! You can literally see the swarm chasing after you.

We went in before and already done 80% of the track. We went in this time to find the missing link and were glad we did. It was a ball and lung busting ride. My heart was felt like it was going to jump out from my mouth after that god forsaken climb from the road side to the top of the hill, which is incidently an adbandoned golf...
