We use the Potomac  Appalachain Trail Club Map "N"  for hikes in the Rock Creek Park...

Hike with The Mid-Atlantic Hiking Group recorded with a Garmin Rino 530HCx. While this trek can be enjoyed anytime, day or night, our meetup group hosts it whenever the full moon falls on a weekend. This is a wonderful way to take in most of the monuments and memorials of D.C. I highly recommend that you take the hike at night as the lighting is magnificent! Tonight we had about 100 people turn...

A beautiful day in DC and the close of my semester took us to the National Arboretum. A gorgeous park! We started at the old capital columns - majestically standing in the center of the park. We then walked through the azalea gardens and the Asian collection where we were surrounded by the life and energy of the budding flowers and trees.
