Eagle Rock is about 7.3 miles from Los Liones Rd off the PCH. The views during the hike include downtown LA, Sta Monica bay/beach, the mountains and Topanga Cyn Rd. The trail is mostly sunny, some parts are steeper than others, and some are shaded and cooler. One of the best views are sunsets.

Very easy hike in Malibu. Murphy Ranch is full of a colorful history in the 1930s and 1960s. Trail is mostly paved, bike and dog friendly, and street parking is close to start point. We took our time exploring the buildings, graffiti and remnants of the former camp. Once you descend the stairs, there is plenty of cover from the sun.
