Hike east from the Bloomington Ferry Bridge to the MN
Just over 50 degrees outside for this walk. The path was as crowded as I've seen it since last October - 5 months ago! The lake is starting to thaw as well. There were only a few people out on the ice, and they were al staying close to shore.
I only made this trip public so I could share the photos and location of the disused bridge with someone. :)

We picked up a new dog last weekend. We think he's a Basset Hound/Blue Heeler mix. He has short little legs and a long body so we weren't sure if he'd be a good walker. Now we know: he's fast! This is just a little hike Jeff and I did with our huskies, Rio (13yrs) and Wizard (3yrs) at Afton State Park in Minnesota. We wanted to get the dogs out for some exercise and to see the colors along the St. Croix River. At 8AM 6 intrepid hikers set out on a morning training trek for March trips to the BWCAW. Martin Kubik, our fearless leader, led us scrambling up hills, over streams on a 4-hour amble in the woods.
