Took the main trail, then veered on Hilltop to merge back to Laurel Group, then out past the big stairs all the way out to the main entrance and back down the entrance road to the parking lot.
This was a leisurely day trip to Bull Island, South Carolina. Bull Island is an undeveloped barrier island within the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge, established in 1932 to help wildlife and to preserve their habitat. Six scouts and four adults were in attendance.We departed Leroy Springs Complex at around 9:30 after a pep talk from the scoutmaster (who did not accompany us on the trip) and took the Complex Tunnel trail around the elementary and middle schools. Myrtle Beach State Park - Sculptured Oak and Yaupon Trails and Boardwalk

On a much needed vacation to Myrtle Beach, I decided to take some time to visit Myrtle Beach State Park. There is a nice boardwalk, pier, and some hiking trails that I visited. The nature trails are well maintained and offer plaques identifying some of the local flora.
Short hike to see three great falls. Watch your step since there is no designated trail once you get to the falls. It's full of roots and potential dangers, but worth it!! Brasstown Falls has three distinct falls within only a few 100 feet. Beautiful!
