Hiking | 3.6 miles (13.9 miles away)
This is a good workout. I don't know who said that this is just a 950 foot climb, because it's almost 2,000 feet. You spend the first half of the hiking climbing up and up. It was a lot harder than I had expected. The waterfalls are beautiful. You have to climb higher up to see the really big waterfall. Parking is free and it's easy to find the hiking trail.

Looking for an easy hike for Saturday, I was exploring the area around the North Etiwanda Preserve on Google Earth and came upon a photo of a waterfall in East Etiwanda Canyon. I marked the waypoint for the falls on the GPS and off we went the next day. I was amazed at the number of people looking for the same waterfall that day! On the return, we even met some folks...
Ever had days where you and your partner just can't seem to communicate? You know, when a simple comment or observation about something insignificant turns into a full blown argument? That was our Saturday. We had no real plans for the weekend and we were both agitated and feed up with a bathroom remodel that should have been completed more than a month ago. Earlier in the week I had mentioned we...
First time hiking the North Etiwanda Preserve. I had read on the Internet that you could hike to a waterfall. I didn't find the waterfall, but it was a very nice hike with beautiful scenery. I did find water running down from the mountains, but not a waterfall. Maybe next time, the water fall.
This is the best little hike I found around here. You have to cross the stream a lot and if you go right after it rains expect to get wet.
