We set out with 4 adults and two 2 3/4 year olds.. slow pace, plenty of kid carrying. But we did a little over 3 miles and had lots of fun.

This short hike off Lakeline Road between Buttercup and Nelson Ranch has many caves, all of which have heavy bars to keep you from entering. I found one unmarked cave (also barred), which makes me wonder if there are others. This is a neighborhood trail so, besides the scenic features, you can hear the traffic on Lakeline Boulevard. But, as I always say, if you can hear the road, you aren't lost....

Quick hike before Moo's bedtime, Bull creek, went fatther up the hill this time until she started fussing, then we headed back. Nice walk...
fun walk with the kiddo, she was talking the whole time. Lost a shoe on the way home, we had to double back and find it.
Short Hike, waded across Bull Creek, saw a turtle! Moo loved throwing rocks in the water... "More, More," she was happy.
A short hike in a small nature preserve. Surrounded by housing developments, it's still a very pleasant place to take a stroll. A local family of deer was just outside the preserve snacking on a neighbor's flora when I drove through the area.The preserve is definitely not a "must-see" epic location, but it's a nice hidden gem so I wanted to be sure it was listed here.

Located slightly west of Georgetown this short out and back hike is one of the best and least known hikes in the Austin/San Antonio area according to 60 Hikes within 60 miles, Tom Taylor and Johnny Molloy. We enjoyed the hike.
An afternoon hike along bull creek. Easy hike with reasonable solitude.
