Etiwanda Waterfall Hike

Rancho Cucamonga, California, United States
Hiking | 3.6 miles (21 miles away)
This is a good workout.  I don't know who said that this is just a 950 foot climb, because it's almost 2,000 feet.  You spend the first half of the hiking climbing up and up.  It was a lot harder than I had expected.  The waterfalls are beautiful.  You have to climb higher up to see the really big waterfall. Parking is free and it's easy to find the hiking trail.

Hiking | 1.2 miles (15.5 miles away)
Back to California for the first time since our move to Fort Collins. One of the "must do's" was to hike to the top of Bernasconi again. With as much rain as they got this year the surrounding hills are as green as I have ever seen them. I figured the normal trail we would take to the top would be fairly grown over since few people make it to the top...

Angelus Oaks to San Bernardino Peak
by jeffhester on Jun 19, 2010
Angelus Oaks, California, United States
Hiking | 14.1 miles (13.6 miles away)
This is an amazing trail in so many ways.San Bernardino Peak is the third highest peak in Southern California, yet very few people have heard of it (everyone knows about San Gorgonio and San Jacinto). The trail is less-traveled as a result. But what really surprised me was the spectacular 360 degree views. Great views out over the inland empire as well as the high deserts to the east. We even caught...

Hiking | 4.0 miles (21 miles away)
Looking for an easy hike for Saturday, I was exploring the area around the North Etiwanda Preserve on Google Earth and came upon a photo of a waterfall in East Etiwanda Canyon. I marked the waypoint for the falls on the GPS and off we went the next day. I was amazed at the number of people looking for the same waterfall that day! On the return, we even met some folks...
