Misty's first completion of bsa. There are simply parts of Petit Jean you don't see otherwise and you are missing out.
I wanted to do something different for New Years' Eve this year and decided on a camping trip to Petit Jean State Park near Morrilton, Arkansas. The park is located atop Petit Jean Mountain and ranges in elevation from about 900 to about 1,200 feet above sea level. My friend Kurt went with me (he's the one wearing the cap), and so did my little dog Jin. Jin really has a blast...
Comfortable Arkansas afternoon at Petit Jean State Park, 4.5 mile Seven Hallows Trail.
Filled with great views of rock formations! I would suggest starting the 4.5mi hike a bit earlier than I was able to. I just barely got back to the parking lot before it would have been necessary to use my flashlight to find my way out of the last part of the hike.
