Family hiked Squaw Peak Nature Trail. It began a little rainy and overcast, but turned into a lovely day. The trail was a bit challenging for two little ones, but all triumphed. Audrey got used to her new backpack carrier (so we can go on more rugged trails). Ana hiked the whole way by herself, singing "It's hard to talk, when you're walking on the rocks".

The classic Phoenix-area hike featuring a challenging ascent and great views. Lots of friendly hikers on the trail to give encouragement. Very difficult scrambling at the handrail section. Reaching the summit is very rewarding!
Fantastic hike. Descent was via old trail down Catacombs boulder field, not recommended as that route was very difficult and had problematic routefinding (note the several places where backtracks were needed).
Short, quick hike around the buttes.
