Family hiked Squaw Peak Nature Trail. It began a little rainy and overcast, but turned into a lovely day. The trail was a bit challenging for two little ones, but all triumphed. Audrey got used to her new backpack carrier (so we can go on more rugged trails). Ana hiked the whole way by herself, singing "It's hard to talk, when you're walking on the rocks".

Beautiful views, great desert foliage, and a worthwhile destination. Good intermediate-level hike, enough elevation change to be good exercise without difficult scrambling. Trail is very well-marked.
Fantastic hike. Descent was via old trail down Catacombs boulder field, not recommended as that route was very difficult and had problematic routefinding (note the several places where backtracks were needed).
