Cozy Dell is a nice mid-moderate level hike with lots of shade and places to pull off the trail and rest. You get rewarded at the top with a sweeping view of the Ojai valley and up the 33 mountain highway. There is even a ridge that you can see both Casitas and Matilija Lakes.
We had some rain, heavy at times, but definitely workable. This trail is mostly gravelly shale type stuff and doesn't clump up too much on your shoes. a poncho and wicking socks made it bearable.

Visiting CA from MA, and chose this hike posted by another user because it was not far from Santa Barbara and for a few hours hike it yielded georgeous views. Started at rainbow bridge. Up to shelf road and looped back down to ojai. Met lots of nice doggies. Saw an empty resevoir. And did a little shopping after coffee and a scone! A lovely day.
