Good day for a hike. We started off near GIfford Farm. The snow was very deep. A few drifts along History Trail forced us to walk a bit closer to the steep slopes than normal. We eventually lost History Trail somewhere before Prairie Trail and ended up descending back down to the tracks - which we walked to Stream Trail.
Another snowy walk starting at Hidden Lake. Great day, but still lots of snow.HIdden Lake > History > Signal Ridge

This was our second 10 Mile hike for the the Hiking Merit Badge this year. We chose an urban hike that we could do in an evening. Ten boys and 5 adults completed the entire trip with a 6th adult joining us for the last half. (Kathy brought ice cream sandwiches out to Hall County Park for our supper break and then walked back to Suck's Lake with us.)The weather was great....

Just about every March Troop 114 does a 10 mile hike starting at Ft. Kearny SRA. We used to hike from the campground to the east side of Bassway Strip and Highway 10 but a little more than 3 years ago the old rail road bridge that crossed the Platte River was burned in a controlled burn gone bad.Now we hike from the campground to the bridge and then back to camp....

I wanted to get some pics of this old barn. But was a further hike than I thought. In addition, I am full of cold meds. I will try again with my bike when I am feeling better.
Just a lazy Sunday hike with the kids. You can make it about a mile longer with a leg we didn't take.
So many spiders. The webs in the trails were inumerable. Had some real nice company too.
