Hike from our Rose Lake site E towards Mountain Lake. Got 2" of snow overnight. Trail is right next to international border. Fresh Wolf tracks over ours in the snow on the hike back to our campsite. Lots of old growth red and white pines.
After the recent warmth the snow settled and compacted making trails hard and no need for snowshoes, used Khatoola spikes instead. Nice hike here in the crow creek gorge and surrounding hills.
I was the first to hike most of these trails today with dog Maenard. Got 1.5 inches of snow this morning.
