As with most mornings, we woke up early to go in search of Kate's first petroglyphs on the Petroglyph Trail in Mesa Verde National Park. The main trail head was closed, so we started to follow a path that was only marked by cairns. Cliff Palace is the more famous set of cliff dwelling ruins at Mesa Verde National Park.
