Hiking in Mammoth Cave National Park

These are the things I learned about Mammoth Cave National Park today:It's a really big park. And though a section of a trail on the park map looks like it might be 2-3 miles.... figure that I'm calculating wrong and will be way off. Don't count on the maps to have mileage (shocker to me). Be prepared to utter "disappointed, disappointed, disappointed" about 80 times once you turn around and backtrack when your realize...

It was a beautiful Oct. day for a hike.  Hiking the Green River Buff's Trail was great and pretty easy.  It was great to see the river at the overlooks and actually see areas along the river, that my son and I paddled two years ago.
