Today we take a floatplane from Homer to Katmai. There are 10 people on the plane and the pilot is also the guide. We passsomething for the Katmai volcanic island Augustine. Then we flyto Lake Mirror and then landing in a tiny bit of water. Ianding went well. We walk about 1 ½ miles to a river bed and there we see itfirst bears.They hunt for salmon. From above we can easily follow, and seethe salmon for the bears swim. Unfortunately for the salmon, it is not saved and is eaten by the bear.We see bear cubs, 3 with the mother at the front.
