Chautauqua Hills Trail at Toronto Point at Cross Timbers State Park on Toronto Lake in southeastern Kansas. Loops around an inlet with yellow, blue, and red hiking/biking segments. I took all of the blue and yellow segments and most of the red.
Ancient Oaks Trail at Cross Timbers State Park on Toronto Lake in southeastern Kansas. In 1982 26 of the old growth trees were analyzed by the University of Arkansas Tree-Ring Lab and the trail winds among 14 of them or their remains.

Hiking the Overlook Trail at Woodson Cove at the southeastern end of Toronto Lake in southeastern Kansas. This lake is situated at the northern edge of the Cross Timbers and thus Toronto State Park was renamed Cross Timbers State Park at Toronto Lake in 2002.The overlook trail has sandstone outcroppings and steep ravines with thick carpets of lichens and moss.

These trails are well groomed and easy to do with minor elevation changes. It is primarily a mountain bike trail and is maintained by our local mountain bike club who do a really great job keeping them up. It used to be a 9 mile loop that was really easy to navigate, but they've added some new trails which had us questioning whether or not we were going the right way...
The "North Shore" trails at Clinton Lake are very well marked and really well groomed. They are easy trails with very minor elevation changes. They have three separate trails labeled Blue, White, and Red that all follow the same basic path and cross one another. The White trail is the most aggressive, but it isn't difficult at all. If you follow the white trail it is roughly 12 miles from one end...
The Rimrock Trail at Camp Naish, west of Kansas City, is a pleasant hiking trail that circles the Boy Scout Camp. The camp is up on a hill and overlooks the surrounding area. The Rimrock Trail is mostly flat, ranging from 500 - 600 feet in elevation. There are beautiful views of surrounding valleys and the Kaw River to the south. Overall, the trail is 11,0 miles long.
