Trips
This hike is in Jonathan Dickinson State Park. First let me explain a few things. I am an annual Florida State Parks pass holder. I went to the front gate and got my "Entry Receipt" for the day, before I did this hike. There is no public entrance where I entered the park. There is no place to park there either. Cars are regularly reported for towing by the neighbors here, and...
I spend a lot of time hiking, biking, kayaking and geocaching in Jonathan Dickinson State Park. This map is a combination of many trips I have made there over the last couple of years, just to show all of the miles and miles of trails to follow. And this isn't all of them either.
This is actually a compilation of several hikes taken in JDSP. The main habitat is Pine Flatwoods, but portions are through Wet Prairie. In the Eastern portion of the park, the habitat is mostly Scrub. There are several primitive campsites that can be used, buy you must register at the ranger station to use them.
Went hiking with the family today@ the John Dickerson state park
Didn't start tracking until partially thru nature trail. Nice way to spend a day though be prepared for a lot of Pinelands! Rumor has it that rangers have seen tracks of Panthers and suspect they may be raising young. Easy to believe as I hear the same thing of Riverbend Park to the SE.

I was out Geocaching in Jonathan Dickinson State Park, and got onto a trail I had never hiked before, so I turned on my Tracks to document the trail here. This is 6.5 miles of an 8 mile hike.
