This easy dirt trail runs from the trail head near theplayground and spits you out near the East entrance. I took the road back to my car. This was a really nice trail with look out points along the river. Very pretty and peacefull.

Wonderful temperatures in the 70s compelled me to head out doors to the Skunk River Greenbelt with my two oldest Schnauzers. This is a short hike on a well maintained trail that leads to an elevated wooden tower that overlooks the valley. It is a "out and back" trail with some steep elevation change. On the trip back we took a side trail which led us to the bunk house in a small valley. This is a nice hike and great for kids.
This is a beautiful county park with 4.1 miles of hiking trails. This hike covers 2.8 miles of these trails. It is an out and back hike. There are several points of interest that are marked with descriptions of the area. Took the dog out for a spirited hike through central Iowa's best park, Ledges. Great ascents.
Took the dogs on the Skunk River Greenbelt south of Story City. Neat trail, but the mud forced us to turn back.
