This is a moderate 4-mile hike located with the Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. You start out hiking along the ridge of the crater. About half-way through, you have descended all the way down into the crater, where you can still see gas and smoke escaping.

It was a rainy day on the volcano. Unfortunately, some portions of the park are closed due to large amounts of Sulfur Dioxide emissions. Walking along the bottom of a volcanic crater was incredible.

The Kilauea Iki Crater Trail is the most popular trail in the park. It is an easy 4 miles hike. The lava tube is at the other end of the trail (go counter-clock wise).
